Amsterdam Acrylic Varnish 115 Matt

Amsterdam Acrylic Varnishes are available in spray cans and bottles and in matte, semi-gloss, gloss and high gloss finishes. These varnishes provide a durable, flexible, reversible and non-yellowing seal, not only for acrylic paintings, but also for oil paintings!

Please note the following before using the varnishes:

• Make sure the varnish and your painting are at room temperature during application and drying. If this is not the case, a white haze may appear on your work as temperature fluctuations can cause condensation under the varnish layer.
• If you use the matte or semi-gloss varnish from the bottle, you must shake it very well before use. Apply the varnish with a brush in one direction to get a nice, even finish.
• Apply only one coat if you are using varnish from a bottle. Multiple coats can result in an uneven shine.

Amsterdam acrylic varnish

• Apply after the paint film has completely dried (with normal layer thickness after 4 to 5 days)
• Shake well before use
• When applying with a brush, apply only one layer and spread in only one direction
• Dries within a few hours
• Does not yellow
• Can be diluted with turpentine substitute
• Clean brushes with turpentine substitute
• Highly flammable (in spray can: very flammable)
• Dry varnish layers can be removed with turpentine substitute
