Amsterdam Gesso White Vessel 1001

Amsterdam Gesso forms the perfect base for your artwork on virtually any surface. It provides an absorbent surface after drying and is therefore the perfect base not only for acrylic but also for oil paints. Gesso can be diluted with water and applied in either several thin layers or one thick layer to create more structure.

This white gesso allows you to create the perfect background for your work. Mix it with your favorite acrylic paint to create lighter pastel shades, or use it separately to create a white background.

Amsterdam Gesso

• Available in transparent, white and black.
• Provides excellent adhesion for acrylic and oil paints.
• Suitable for dust- and grease-free absorbent surfaces such as canvas (linen, cotton, etc.), wood, plywood, cardboard and paper
• Suitable as a primer for wall paintings on (alkaline) substrates such as concrete, stucco and brick
• Can be mixed with other Amsterdam Gessos and colored with acrylic paints.
• Waterproof after drying
• Clean tools with water
• Process at temperatures above 10 °C, store frost-free
